Peter T. Swaim
Peter is a business professional with an extensive track record of designing, implementing and managing customer and market research programs to improve customer relationships. He has worked in several corporate environments to strengthen and heighten the awareness of customer loyalty, and to inspire organizations and their leadership to advance a customer-focused culture.
Mr. Swaim is the father of two, and has been interested in children and their success for many years. Peter also has a long-term association with a 115-year-old summer camp, serving multiple roles to guide the mission of a traditional camping experience for disadvantaged and low-income children from greater Boston and New England who are otherwise unable to afford or attend a summer camp. He currently serves as Trustee and a member of Development and Program Committees, and previously served as Board Vice President, Chair of Committee on Trustees and the Annual Appeal, and a member of an Executive Director Search committee.
In addition to professional and non-profit experience, Peter has been involved in fundraising and support for non-profit organizations, including Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s Development and Events organization and Babson College’s leadership and career coaching program. He is an avid cyclist, supporting cancer-research fundraising events including the Pan Mass Challenge supporting Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, The Prouty supporting Dartmouth’s Norris-Cotton Cancer Center, and The Granite State Quest supporting Mass General Hospital’s Pediatric Cancer Center. He has a BA from Lake Forest College, and an MBA from Northeastern University and a Six-Sigma Green Belt.
